Software Quality Assurance Director

The Quality Assurance Director will lead the team of QA engineers to evaluate, test, and ensure the quality of Thycotic products.  This person will develop, implement, and report on quality assurance processes, systems, and defect reduction programs.  They will responsible for setting the strategic direction of QA for Thycotic and will work with both Product Management, Support and Development to ensure that the direction has corporate buy in and will report and measure the implementation.


  • Leading application software development quality assurance and testing in an Agile environment
  • Managing and evolving a world class application software development automated and manual quality assurance and testing department including strategy, tactical, budgets, hire/fire, staff development, succession planning, and resource/project management
  • Designing, implementing, and monitoring all quality assurance and testing policy, procedures, programs, standards, and guidelines
  • Owning, managing, and evolving the enterprise QA and testing strategy, process, technology, and performance
  • Relationship management with executive leadership, departmental groups and teams, third party business partners, and vendors
  • Coordinate with the Development team and Product Management to plan the QA schedule
  • Coordinate with the Development team and Product Management about bugs and issues that are found
  • Directly lead the work of the QA team daily
  • Set, Measure, track, and report on QA expectations and KPI’s


  • Detail oriented with a passion for Quality Assurance and leading teams
  • Strong time management skills
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-driven and able to organize own work and direction with minimal oversight
  • Experience with Visual Studio Team Services (VSTS)
  • Experience in managing QA teams
  • 8-10 years in software QA experience
